Skiing in Colorado

I have a few more pictures to post, but here is a short film that I made while in Winter Park, Colorado over MLK weekend.

My 1st Run on Medium Jumps

  1. Hey Bubba, that was amazing. I recently went skiing for the first time and I absolutely sucked at it. You make it look easy and I know from
first hand experience that it isnt. I am completely impressed. Awesome job. -your Bub.

  2. Thanks Bubba! It was amazing that I took to skiing so well this winter. Before this season, it had been 12 years since my previous and only ski experience. At that point I could only wedge. But on my first day I took to skiing parallel and carving. I did spend about 2 hours hitting small jumps at Snowshoe before doing these medium jumps. So, I'm no prodigy. But that was indeed my first run on jumps that size. My philosophy is simply to try to do more than I think I am capable of. If I succeed, then I've surprised myself by extending my limits. I must then extend further. But our nature is to try to perform within our limits as to not fail. This is a good practice when you are driving a car or trying to provide for your family. However, it's silly if the only consequence is eating snow.
